FAQ
How does pricing work?
You can find a detailed description of our pricing here. In short, our application is $14.99/month which includes $5 in credits for you to spend on AI models (or $169.99/year with $60 in credits). Every question you ask or image you generate has a cost associated with it, this amount is decremented from your credit balance. You can always add more credits on the subscription page. At the bottom of each AI response, we show the response time and cost.
Note, we do not charge any premium on the API cost, what we pay is what you pay. Our profit comes purely from your monthly or yearly subscription. Our mission is to lower the bar to entry for using a wide variety of the best AI models, as well as keep the price as low as possible for our users.
What does Temperature mean?
Temperature is a parameter that language models use to determine level of variability or creativity in their responses. The higher the value the more creative they are supposed to be (range is 0-1). Some models obey the setting better than others, but it is worth experimenting and seeing which setting gives you the best result for your use case.
How do I save or clear a conversation?
We do not save your conversations by default, but you can always save a conversation to be picked back up at a later time. To save your conversation, at the top right of your chat box there is a dropdown menu that allows you to “save chat” and “clear chat”. Once you save your chat you can view it on the Conversations page.
Where can I find more information about the AI models?
We have an evolving resource of information about all of the AI models we currently offer. You can access that here, and also in the UI you can click the Chat Bots or Image Generators header at the top of the model menu.
What happens when I vote on a response?
We use this data to help us determine what models our users are finding most valuable. We will be surfacing this data to you in the near future to help you understand the strengths, and weaknesses, of the models we offer. Our goal is to help you speed up the process of selecting which model may be best for your use case. So keep voting and stay tuned for new features coming soon!
How does GMTech determine which is the “best” model from a company?
Through our internal testing and your feedback we try to determine which model from each company is the best model. The quality of the response as well as the pricing goes into this rating. For example, Anthropic’s Claude 3 has three separate models available. Anthropic suggests Opus is their most advanced model, however we have found Sonnet delivers an equal quality at a far lower price point and often faster response time. Therefore we have chosen to ⭐️ Sonnet as our recommended model in the Claude 3 family.
